In light of Chinese New Year, one of my Singaporean co-workers offered to show some of the Americans around Chinatown. It was a fun night. The best part, I'm a little ashamed to say was... the bacon! Forgive me, I love the culture here and there was so much beauty in the streets, but the bacon changed my world.
Part of Chinese New Year (CNY) tradition is this "pork jerky" or Bak Kwa. Best tradition ever in my book. They go a step further and they have different thinly thinly sliced Bak Kwa which really looks like bacon and it is better than anything I've had before.

When I first tried it, the only thing I thought was "This is too good to share. Jesus I know I am supposed to share the gospel, but this bacon, do I have to?...But really?" So I did what any good Christian would do, I ate it all before anyone could ask me for any :) That's what you would do right?
Ok Ok, enough about Bacon as fabulous as it is...
This year was the year of the Tiger. I loved loved the artwork in the streets. The red and gold are colors of auspiciousness and wealth.
