Day 9 - Who are you really looking for?

I think so many times people are looking for someone else to save and rescue them from the plight they are going through. I was and am the same and have to catch myself. If Jesus saved us and Jesus now lives in us we can rescue ourselves in some cases. I love how the women with the issue of blood for 12 years, "took a risk of faith" as the Message Bible explains. What??!! And she was commended for taking that risk of faith. She spoke it, and her faith healed her!

There was no prior scripture that said touching Jesus' garment would heal her. She spoke it herself! And she did it! She touched His garment and was healed! She spoke it herself! Took a risk of faith and it worked! More importantly, Jesus commended her for it.

How many risks of faith will you take? Now, don't get crazy and test God or jump off a cliff or something. But if you feel the spirit nudging you and God's Word confirms it, take the risk!

Heavenly Father, thank you for the sending your Son and teaching us how to take risks of faith! Amen!
