God's Promises - Day 4 - Seek first the Kingdom

God's Promises - Day 4 - Seek first the Kingdom

Lately, I have been intrigued by how the exercise and diet regiment for women and men is vastly different if women want toned leaned bodies. Because women's genetic and hormonal make up is different, following the mainstream fasting or keto diets may not be right for my body; it may send my body in the opposite direction than I want. According to science if I work with my body's natural inclinations for diet and exercise I could work half as hard and get twice as much results. Wow! I may have been making things harder for myself than intended. It could be much simpler.

I wonder if it is the same with following God. His scriptures are sometimes mysterious, but simple. I used to think if I didn't read my bible 4 hours a day from 3:30am-7:30am, I'm not a good Christian. But that may not be true. What if God's plan is so much simpler for us:

Matthew 6:33-34 says:

"33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

I wonder if seeking God - our praise, worship, gratitude, bible study, and obedience is within the context of our unique purpose and plan that God has for each of us. And the way we pursue God and seek the Kingdom first may look different in different seasons and that's okay too.

Love you all! See you next for Day 5!
