Taking my power back!

I have typically made up alot of excuses that I can't live the life I want.

When stepped back, I realize, there are some things that I wish could be different, but I'm patient in the process. However, there are other things that I could actually change right now.

For one, I have made excuses of why I could not go swimming in the morning before my busy day started. I've made this excuse for years even in college. But now with the Singapore weather so warm year-round and ... if I am being honest...now that I have natural hair... swimming is great!

Just because I do have to be at my dayjob early still doesn't mean I can't swim to start the day.

It may sound small, but making the decision to do something I love and working it into my already busy schedule was a small way I have internally taken my power back.

I've even canceled some meetings with people that most likely meant well, but I said to myself, "Nope, that's my swim time." I've learned to embody what makes my mind, body and soul feel good, not only in the moment but could pay dividends in the future.

Go ahead...dive into what you love!
